Greatest Train Race For Charity

Greatest Train Race (GTR), a popular annual charity half-marathon in Middelburg, South Africa. The GTR 2026 event is open for registration, including 24km (Individual and five person Team Relay), 11.5km, and 4.9km distances. This year the event Finish Line will be held on the Steve Tshwete Muncipal Grounds on the corner of Walter Sisulu Street and Hospital Road on the 8 August 2026. The races will begin at 07:00 AM sharply. All athletes participating must note that buses will be leaving as from 05:15 – 06:30 AM. Road closures will begin at 06:00 AM especially the R104.
